ABOUT
Welcome to the Southeastern Pennsylvania Section (SEPS) of the American Association of Physics Teachers. We are a regional organization consisting of Philadelphia and the surrounding metropolitan area. The goals of our organization are to:
-
Collaborate and communicate with other physics teachers
-
Improve our own personal pedagogy
-
Keep updated on current research
To further these goals we have meetings twice a year at various locations throughout the Section. Our meetings are centered around educational practices and how to better promote physics education and research. Our members are from high schools and universities, both small and large, and are all striving to become the best physics teachers we can possibly be. We work to network within the physics community spanned by our section's boundaries as well as outside of those boundaries.
If you have questions about our organization, meetings or anything else please do not hesitate to contact any of our officers.
Joining SEPS is easy--all you have to do is let us know you'd like to join. Our yearly dues are $10, and you can pay either at the meetings or by snail mail to our Treasurer. Note: First-year dues are waived!
To add your name to the SEPS-AAPT email list, enter your email address on the Contact Page. Even if you're not a member, we will be glad to add your name to our email list.
